Indigenous Community Health or Research Needs Assessment
The BC Network Environment for Indigenous Health Research (BC NEIHR) recently launched a funding call, the Community Health or Research Needs Assessment (CHRNA). These funds are intended for a rapid needs assessment, to explore current health priorities or research capacities within a BC Indigenous community, collective, or organization (ICCO). The CHRNA ranges between $5000 – $10,000, and the funds must be used within 6-months of receiving funding. Further information and all application materials are located on our website under CHRNA Fund for ICCOs. Applications for this fund must be received by March 1st, 2021.
The BC NEIHR invites you to apply to the CHRNA fund if you, your colleagues, or any patient partners you have relationships with are involved with any holistic health-related research with ICCOs in BC. Stephanie Day, a community research liaison with the BC NEIHR is available to support with these applications as needed. This might include:
- brainstorming & helping to craft proposals to fit within funding criteria;
- budgeting support;
- supporting connections with appropriate research partners.
